AC388 Frameset

The AC388 frameset was initially designed as a high-speed gravel bike frameset. The characteristics required for a gravel bike make urban riding enjoyable. Some might wonder why not just buy a road bike frame if you want a fast urban bike?

Gravel bikes are comfortable. Road bike framesets are less compliant. No one wants to be rattled and bumped for the last mile of their commute. One way gravel bikes increase compliance is by allowing for wider tires.

Toray Carbon Fiber

To accelerate faster, the lightweight AC388 is made from Toray T700 carbon fiber. This gives you a quick frame that helps you get off to a good start at traffic lights and speed through the streets. When you pedal, power is applied directly to the Aero35 wheelset. The BB86 bottom bracket and 12mm rear wheel axle make the rear end incredibly stiff. Aero wheels can also be fitted with traditional quick releases.
