We increase comfort and speed by widening the rim. This might seem counterintuitive, but wider tires at lower pressures have lower rolling resistance. This is because roads are not perfect, and wider tires at lower pressures will deflect less and keep rolling straight. This is why most people are looking to run 25mm or 28mm wide tires on their road bikes.
Our wider rims mean that wider tires do not have a lightbulb shape on the rim. If your tire is too wide for your rim, it will look like a lightbulb, and you will suffer in cornering and traction. Our rims are also tubeless-ready, so you can drop the pressure without getting a pinch flat. Going for a ride with tubeless means you spend less time on the side of the road fixing a flat.
