38/52 PIE Carbon Spoke Wheel Rim Width 21mm
Uses highly rigid carbon spokes
ICAN carbon spoke wheels are equipped with carbon spokes. Carbon spokes offer a 30% increase in stiffness compared to steel spokes. This results in a 6% improvement in lateral responsiveness and significantly reduced weight. Our popular ST-1B carbon spokes weigh only 2.7 grams each. Thanks to TaperLock technology, these spokes can be easily adjusted using spoke keys in the rim bed. Aluminum joints at both ends prevent carbon spokes from breaking due to impacts during riding.
ICAN D31 Hubs exclusive to carbon spokes for a smoother ride
Equipped with ICAN's exclusive D31 hub
The front wheel is equipped with 15267 S&Sceramic bearings ("Made in Japan ceramic balls"). The rear wheel is equipped with three 15267 S&Sceramic bearings and one 6902 steel bearing. The D31 hub, consisting of a 6-pawl freehub, is designed for carbon fiber spokes and guarantees a smooth ride! It features a large interface to enhance equipment safety.
21mm wider rim inner width
The wider 21mm inner rim width allows for fitting wider tires. It is ideal for 25mm to 30mm tires, but can accommodate tires up to 47mm. This improves ride comfort and provides superior aerodynamic performance. Tire installation is also easy.
